KN does London!

From November 15-18, I went to London (one of my ultimate favorite cities in the whole wide world). Although we were there for 4 days, when we usually visit multiple cities in 3 days), it felt SUPER short. I had such a great time visiting London for the 2nd time. I got to re-visit and re-do some of the attractions and I had a blast doing it. One thing I absolutely adored was the language - ENGLISH. I felt like I was back at home. It was great. I'm definitely planning to go back again soon!!
Here are the highlights :)
November 15 - 18, 2012
I've been super busy and I'm still trying to catch up with my other posts so I'll post my London post soon (it's an overload with pictures, with an abundance of red blue and white..I'll just say that), along with my photo diary of November (which will include a lot more than last month, I promise!).
I am determined to get some quality Paris-exploring days in this week that I am here, because next week.. I'm going somewhere that's not even in the map below. Surprise? Until then!!! XO

My 'Trip' to Amsterdam

With the famous IAMsterdam sign!
Amsterdam was Team Canada's one and only trip where we all were traveling together. So,  we decided to be troopers and take the Megabus from Paris (a 7 hour overnight bus ride). We arrived at 6:30am, and quickly took a taxi back to our hotel.

For breakfast, we went to a pancake place called Pancakes! Amsterdam. I ordered American style pancakes with bacon and maple syrup. You can't get more Canadian than that!! It was delicious. I haven't had pancakes, bacon, or maple syrup in the longest time. It felt like I was back at home.
After breakfast, we headed out to try to find the IAMsterdam sign :)
View from the top!
Here are a couple pictures of us there! It was a mission and a half to climb up those letters haha, but we did it!
After finding the sign, we explored a little. We didn't take any public transit to get from one area to another. We just explored by foot, and walked along canals and rivers. Whenever I think of Amsterdam, I think of bikes, canals, and a certain plant. Everyyyyone bikes here!! And canals are basically intertwining within the city.

As for what I'm sure you're all curious about.. No, I didn't pass out on that opportunity. Okay fine, I wouldn't really say it's an opportunity, but it had to be done. YOAO. You're only in Amsterdam once. ...That's also a lie but whatever guys :P
Amsterdam is actually really pretty.
I edited this so it would be a pinterest worthy pic hahah

My ghetto (but genius) idea of heating up our stroopwafels (best munchies food)
Space cakes
And thaaat is basically it. After having some cakes, we walked along the Red Light District. It was pretty disturbing yet interesting.. Men just roamed the streets like it was no big deal.
Other than that, we didn't do anything crazy and just headed to a bar for a couple of happy hour (their happy hour is from 10-11pm) drinks, and then we headed to bed.

Round 1 at Coco's
Round 2
We woke up the following day to do a little more exploring, and then headed to the bus station where we took another 7 hour bus ride back to Paris.
All in all, it was a pretty fun trip. Although it was nothing that I had expected it to be like, it was still an experience. Oh, and did I mention about how amazing The Netherlands' Starbucks holiday drinks are?! AMAZING. Cranberry White Mocha. You cannot go wrong with that combo.
That is all. XO

5th Stop: Venice

The last stop of my Italia adventure was Venice, one of my favorite cities. We arrived at around 1am, and quickly scurried to our hotel. From the airport, we took a night waterbus to the city. Being a boat-lover, I had a great time cruising along and staring out at the water.

On the famous gondola ride!!
After the gondola ride, we had yet another Amazing Race experience where we had to go back to our hotel, pick up our luggage, and rush out to the airport. Being on a super tight schedule and with our luck with transportation, we were at the wrong airport. Scrambling, we found a taxi and he drove us to the correct airport. We ran through the airport and security, and got there in time because of the long lines. Haha, I swear that is how all my trips have ended.. When will I ever learn? :P
But that concludes my Italia adventure :)

All in all, my week in Italy was definitely amazing. Although I don't really remember it much cause it was so jam-packed, it will always be a great memory (okay that didn't make sense... Oh well!). If anyone was to ask me if I would go back to Italy, hellllllsss freaking yeeah :) one of my best trips yet!
